In August 2020, after a 21-year career in corporate accounting, operations, and business consulting, Sam Eastlack took a leap of faith and founded Gray Buffalo Consulting.
His vision was simple: use accounting not just as recordkeeping, but as a tool to help business owners make better decisions, improve profitability, and build stronger companies.
The name Gray Buffalo is a tribute to Sam's grandparents, Grace and Salvatore Belfiore - affectionately known as "Gray" and "Buffalo." Growing up on their South Jersey farm, Sam learned lessons that would stay with him for life: work hard, take pride in what you do, understand your numbers, and never lose sight of the people behind the business.
Those values became the foundation of Gray Buffalo Consulting.
Today, we help business owners gain clarity, improve performance, and make confident decisions by combining financial expertise with practical business insight.
At Gray Buffalo Consulting, we operate as a trusted financial partner to the businesses we serve. We provide outsourced CFO and Controller services, financial management, profitability consulting, and business process improvement for organizations that need more than bookkeeping and less than a full-time executive finance team.
Our mission is to bring clarity where others see gray areas by helping business owners understand their numbers, improve profitability, and create opportunities for long-term growth.
Most accounting firms focus on compliance.
We focus on helping business owners run better businesses.
Our role extends beyond financial statements and reconciliations. We help clients understand what their numbers are telling them, identify opportunities for improvement, and make strategic decisions with confidence.
Whether it's improving margins, strengthening cash flow, evaluating growth opportunities, or building better reporting systems, we work alongside our clients as a trusted advisor invested in their success.
Behind every client relationship is a team committed to delivering practical advice, responsive service, and real-world business expertise.
Our team combines decades of experience in accounting, finance, operations, administration, and continuous improvement to help clients navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
